Sitting Plus Service
At Home Management Resources we provide
house sitting plus caretaking services without the live-in occupant present.
Off-Season - Many property owners leave Florida during the warmer months of
each year. We visit these unoccupied homes once a week on a regularly
scheduled basis.
In-Season – Our northern visitors often travel to their Florida homes for
only a portion of each month. We visit these homes during any period of
their absence.
-Should any problem arise we do the following:
-Promptly notify the client explaining the situation that we have found.
-Immediate action is taken to remedy the situation.

Closing & Caretaking of a clients home once they leave for a period of time.
- Meet client to discuss services they need while they are away.
- Alarm System - Checked & Armed.
- Thermostat/Humidistat set as required for efficient operation.
- Check – Windows, doors, garage, security
- Close - Blinds, shutters & draperies
- Disconnect - TVs, washer, dryer, & disposals
- Shut Ice maker and disconnect batteries.
*HMR will not be responsible or liable in any way for water connection(s)
to remain off for any period of time.
Monitoring & Maintenance
- Day-time weekly service with on-site log of each visit to the clients’
home.
- Exterior perimeter inspection
- Inspect for plumbing or structural leaks
- Periodically flush toilets and fill basins
- Check landscape & pool maintenance
- Inspect for insect infestation/mildew
- Check a/c, humidistat, & hot water heaters
- Start autos & check golf carts
- Off season maintenance projects
Season Opening & Caretaking
- Connect appliances
- Turn on hot water heater
- Turn on instant hot water
- Reset air conditioning
